Infrarosso terapy
The infrarossoterapia is a technique that exploits physiotherapy therapeutic purposes the biological effects produced by the infrared (IR ) in the tissues .
These are part of thermotherapy exogenous , as the heat that develops and that our body absorbs , is a superficial heat that penetrates slightly the skin and the muscle tissue.
The main effects that are produced by the application of infrared rays are manifold:
Thermal effect which results in a muscle relaxation.
Analgesic effect as with the vasodilation that you get is determined by a removal of catabolites produced by the tissues affected by neuro- musculoskeletal disorders .
Trophic effect because the vasodilation you have a supply of nutrients and oxygen in the tissues.
Directions : after-effects of trauma, cervical , dorsal and lumbar arthritis , bedsores . Presence of muscle contractures .
Contraindications : hypersensitivity, photosensitivity.
